'A League of Our Own' May Luncheon — Young Patronesses of the Opera

The Young Patronesses of the Opera celebrated their 62nd Annual Awards and Installation Luncheon on May 9, at the Riviera Country Club. They hit it out of the park with this year’s baseball theme, ‘A League of Our Own’, which was chosen as it is the outgoing YPO President’s favorite sport. And, it fits perfectly since YPO is truly in a league of their own by offering unique opera education programs to youth in Miami for over 60 years.

Gail Piñon was honored as she finishes her successful presidential year by members in numerous ways, including her gala chairs thanking her for her dedication and treating us all to a serenade of tango music by ‘Jaime’, in remembrance of this year’s fundraising gala theme, ‘A Tango Affair’.

This luncheon ended with a beautiful installation ceremony of YPO’s Incoming President, Mrs. Lise-Marie Wertanzl, and her the new executive board, presented by YPO’s Past President, Barbara Reese.
